
Navigate to the appropriate quiz, and then click Take the Quiz. If prompted, log in with your IU username and passphrase.

It should redirect automatically to the IU Canvas home page. When installation is complete, launch LockDown Browser.

Students are encouraged to install Respondus LockDown Browser prior to taking an assessment. Respondus LockDown Browser is a custom browser that you install on your machine. Students are locked into an assessment until it is submitted. When students use Respondus LockDown Browser to access an assessment, they are unable to print, copy, go to another URL, or access other applications. Some faculty will also require the use of a WebCam while using LockDown Browser for student verification during online assessments. Respondus LockDown Browser is a customized browser that increases the security of online testing in the Blackboard Learning System. When an assessment is started, students are locked into it until they submit it for grading. Similar to using Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari, when students use LockDown Browser they are unable to print, copy, go to another URL, or access other applications. Respondus LockDown Browser is a custom browser that locks down the testing environment within M圜lasses.
